Alpha Theta Kappa supports two primary philanthropies, the American Cancer Society and Mental Health America. In addition, we embrace the opportunity to champion causes that hold special meaning to our sisters. Alpha Theta Kappa is dedicated to fundraising efforts that make a meaningful impact on the community.
Our Fundraisers
Paige Gaal
Sister to our Alumna Emma Gaal, Paige passed away after her 5 year battle with her auto immune disease. Paige was just 19 and loved animals and was so passionate about teaching others about her condition. Alpha Theta Kappa had a bake sale. All proceeds and donations went to The Ehlers Danlos Society and the Vet-i-Care foundation.
Big Event
Each year Bloomsburg University CGA hosts Big Event. Sisters participate in helping out the Bloomsburg Community by helping residents with yard work, and cleaning up the town.
NEDA Bake Sale
Sisters participated in the annual Watstown Community Yard Sale. Sisters made baked goods and sold them in support of NEDA, National Eating Disorder Association. All proceeds and donations went towards NEDA.
Hurricane Relief Kit Fundrasier
Sisters of Alpha Theta Kappa helped make hurricane relief kits for those affected by Hurricane Helene.
Bingo Board for LA Fires
A different way to fundraise. Sisters posted a bingo board on social media platforms, where supporters could donate money. All proceeds went to the American Red Cross.
Walk for MS
Sisters participated in a walk for Multiple Sclerosis, a disease some sisters family members are affected by. Sisters walked and posted on social media to spread awareness to the cause.
